Common Structures

The rooftop stairs at the studio during a rainstorm

Everything looks more interesting in the rain.

Now that spring is here the rainy season has officially started and everyday structures have started looking a lot more interesting to me. Above are the stairs up to the roof at Victory Studios, which opens up to one of the best views in the city. Below is the sinister looking gazebo belonging to the apartment complex across the street from my house.

I am excited and proud to share with you images from the first production to take place at my new studio. Fittingly it involved my long time collaborator, über rockstar model Marie Vaccarello, and the wonderfully talented Andrea Lossecco taking care of the styling. I am loving being in the new space and being able to create spontaneous works like this again. It’s nice to finally be settled into and working in the space we spent so long rehabillitating.

Last week Aaron Ingrao, Scott Gable, And Myself opened our new workspace, Victory Studios, alongside some of our closest friends, clients, relatives, and other creatives. Even the good folks at Vitamin Water got involved and donated some beverages for the party.  Here are some images from our opening party.

My assistant Jason’s son Liam, who became the unofficial mascot of the opening.

Local photographer Jerry Seawood has been spending quite a bit of time on the other side of the camera lately, most notably as a key image in my Pigment series.

A better view of the whole space….

….Which we are pretty proud of, considering the space was a disaster zone just a few months before when we began our renovations,

As the night went on our photo ideas became more and more ambitious.

There is something wrong with us…

We are quite excited to finally be opening and hosting commercial clients in the new space. Keep your eyes open for upcoming educational and arts events we will be hosting there in the coming months as well.
