Personal Record is an ongoing stream of the images I make outside of my professional career. The personal images, mobile images, outtakes, and random candid images that I take on whatever camera I happen to have handy at the time; a documentation of my day-to-day life and the things I come across that interest me visually.
Very few things are as nice as getting a surprise packages from a client containing some very nice new media featuring your images. Thanks Ali!
Erin has been busy re-launching her food blog 29andhungry – trying to cook her way through the Nickel City Chef Cookbook. I have been drafted as her iPhone food photographer – paid solely in delicious food. This weeks recipe was strip steak with saffron aioli, asparagus, and warm sherry fingerling potato salad.
Paid a visit to the Queen City Market this weekend and ran into a bunch of friends who were selling their wares including: Shawn Peters from Compost This, Amber Rampino from Inky Bench, And Beth Adams from Dungaree Dolly. All three of these people are wonderful – and make or sell incredible things.
Continuing what turned into a weekend of celebrating some of the best local things that Buffalo has to offer – we made a trip to Spar’s European Sausage Shop to restock my freezer with some amazing locally produced and raised meat. The highlight of which was picking up some delicious and local pasture raised pork from TMeadow Farms in nearby Lockport, NY
Supreme General was in front of my camera this week as we worked on creating some new images for his upcoming album release. A riot when he visits the studio, and always killing it on the mic and in front of the camera. He has long been one of the most complex and interesting people I have photographed over the years.
My assistant Emily was shooting at my studio the other night and I was there to give her a hand and take some quick snaps and behind the scenes images of her shoot with Autumn.
