A peach Pit

Personal Record 9.15.2011

Personal Record is a new regular Thursday feature here on my blog, an ongoing stream of the images I make outside of my professional career. The personal images, mobile images, outtakes, and  random candid images that I take on my iPhone, my X100, my 5D MKII or whatever other camera I happen to have handy at the time; a documentation of my day-to-day life and the things I come across that interest me visually.

A peach Pit

This was going to be a picture of a perfect peach, but it just tasted so good. I managed to pick up some amazing produce this week at some local markets, and this was just one of my finds.

eeing things like this in stores, while appreciated, only serves to remind me of the lack of sleep I seem to constantly be dealing with. Oh insomnia!

Over the weekend we attended an outdoor party that went from sunny and warm to ominously stormy in matter of seconds.

Red bike on street

Seeing this bike parked outside of my building all the time only serves to redouble my resolution to get a new bike this fall.

restaurant sunset

The sunset at a local restaurant was putting some very cool light through the windows off the river while we were eating.

Ansonia Centre

find myself looking up a lot more than usual this week, perhaps a side effect of seeing jets overhead all weekend on their way to an air show. This was taken right outside my building.

My wall of work

I have a wall outside my studio that seems to be an informal and revolving gallery of torn up leftover prints. It is becoming a new portfolio editing tool as I walk past and re-evaluate the images every day.

Jordan getting messy

ou can tell this kid is going to grow up to be the coolest kid on the block. It’s like, “forget the mess, it’s no big thing.” Cooler than cool.

Living near some of the city’s most interesting buildings always affords me some interesting visuals during my daily walks. This is Shea’s Theatre, just a few hundred steps from my building.
