Personal Record is a new regular Thursday feature here on my blog, an ongoing stream of the images I make outside of my professional career. The personal images, mobile images, outtakes, and random candid images that I take on my iPhone, my X100, my 5D MKII or whatever other camera I happen to have handy at the time; a documentation of my day-to-day life and the things I come across that interest me visually.
Had the chance to see the most amazing sky over Lake Erie the other night as the rain broke.
Taken after a business lunch with Erin Habes to discuss an upcoming project.
These broken down boots have served me well, but I think it’s either timer I retire them or get them fixed up, they are getting pretty worn out at this point, a great example of my tendency to wear things until they are falling to tatters, It usually falls on Erin to remind me when I need to replace things like this.
My Brother, John, on a recent visit to the U.S.
As my mother is getting ready to move out of her house we have come across treasure troves of forgotten old wonders in her basement and garage, including a serious collection of old vinyl. Working on getting my old turntable up and running so that I can listen to the clear masterpiece of the group, Sound Effects In Stereo.
Sometimes only the finest marked down faux fur will do.
Spent some time at Buffalo’s Elmwood art festival this weekend where we managed to run into a ton of friends and colleagues from the local creative community, like our friend Alex.
Erin and I posing with some of the local flora during the festival. I am in desperate need of a haircut at this point.
Scallion pancakes at my recently discovered new favorite chinese restaurant – Gin Gin. These are surely laced with some kind of happiness inducing drug.
Bill and I have been friends from high school, thankfully he tends bar at Gabriel’s Gate, one of my favorite local drinking establishments, so it’s easy to stay in touch.
Some of the interior decor at Gabriel’s Gate.
