Required Reading

Required Reading is a weekly listing of all the bits of visual inspiration, cool videos, news, hip links, and miscellaneous information that rattles my head during the week. The stuff that’s worth bookmarking and gets my brain-juices flowing.

• My Plans for the day involve working, going to an art gallery, and listening to a ton of Deee-lite... pretty much the perfect friday.

• I am just flat-out blown away by how cool this behind the scenes video of photographer David Myrick’s project featuring The Glitch Mob… this is very cool.

• The 99% has some insights to share from this year’s idea execution audit.

• Being from a town with two famously dead malls. I really dig this Malls Of America project by Michael Galinsky. Check out his Kickstarter page and help him turn it into a book.

• Check out Nubby Twiglet’s awesome interview over at Blogsmitten.

• This kid may be the best motivational speaker of all time. Be like him.

• Leo Babauta on the illusion of control over at Zen Habits

• I NEED more colors of gaffer tape in my life…. just sayin.

• My sudden need to surround myself with colorful things has led me to also crave gummys to an excessive and possibly unsafe degree.  I also NEED to order some of these.

• Its not like i’m overly obsessed with the 99% this week or anything… But I am kind of in love with their Developing Your Creative Practice: Tips From Brian Eno.

• Is a photography app poised to become the next major social mobile hub?

• 60 ways to improve your life in the next hundred days?… That sounds like a challenge to me!

• Earlier this week I was featured on “Originals” a great creative blog by strategist Jonathan Everitt
