Required Reading is a weekly listing of all the bits of visual inspiration, cool videos, news, hip links, and miscellaneous information that rattles my head during the week. The stuff that’s worth bookmarking and gets my brain-juices flowing.

• Famous creators on how to deal with the fear of failure – so many great interpretations of a common problem, I especially like Stefan Sagmeister’s

• Excited this week to come across some proper drone over at Warrenellis.com

• A TED talk from David Griffin on how photography connects us.

• Terry Tsiolis; stunning images from v # 71 via Fashion Gone Rogue

As I move further and further into working on video and motion I find that there are oh so many toys that I want to buy from Indi System.

• Director Ransom Riggs amazing film on the modern apocalyptic landscape of California’s Salton Sea.

Rodney Smith on Paris, gardens, and photography workshops. I get excited every week when his new posts come out.

• A collection of hilarious yet thought provoking reliquarium art.

• The Lost Type Emporium is offering a pay what you want model for some very cool typefaces.

• How do you photograph one of the most secretive countries sin the world? like this… Welcome to Pyongyang

• Another fun collection of retro-photos.

• I am incredibly hungry from blogging and retouching photos all day – I crave sustenance and am hoping a certain food blogger will make this for me soon.

• Resumes are dead apparently.

• There is a lot of negativity going down in the creative world right now. Nasty, boring, and energy consuming negativity. I like Leo Babauta’s take on how to deal with people like that.

• CREEP featuring Nina Sky – You – Directed by Thalia Mavros… I am amazed by this video.
